Rubs and Sauces
On this page, I’m going to be sharing with you guys my favourite rubs and sauces.
1. RevBad Byron's Butt Rub
This is no doubt one of my favourite rubs of all times. It can be used by regular backyard cooks, professional chefs and folks that enter barbeque contests. The taste of this rub is absolutely divine. I love it especially because it is an all-purpose seasoning and it doesn’t have to be used for only barbeques.
The rub consists of onions, salt, pepper, garlic, smoked jalapeno (chipotle) and paprika. It is also absolutely gluten-free so, it is a good choice for people with special dietary needs. Use this sauce and experience a new taste.
2. Killer Hogs BBQ Rub
This rub is also known as “The Best Rub” and that should tell you a little something about it. This rub is perfect if you want to get the best of your BBQ experience.
This rub has flavour and sweetness but what makes it awesome is the kick at the end. You don’t even see it coming, but when you feel it, you experience a type of pleasure that you cannot get from other rubs.
It is made with brown sugar, sugar, salt, paprika evaporated cane juice, dehydrated garlic, onion powder, mustard flour, orange peel, turmeric, dillweed, paprika and other stuffs. Talk about quality!
3. Plowboys BBQ Yardbird Rub
If you love your rubs to be on the salty side, then this one is definitely for you. This rub shouldn’t be eaten with barbequed meat that is heavily spiced else, it will be too salty.
I personally love to use the sauce when I’m having chicken with my stir fry, I discovered that it goes really well.
It has an amazing flavour and goes equally well with pork as good as it goes with chicken, yum.
This sauce is made with salt, sugar, chilli pepper, paprika, dehydrated garlic, onion, celery powder and some other stuffs including not more than 2% calcium stearate to prevent caking.
4. Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning
What attracted me to this rub was the hilarious name, but what made me keep taking it was the amazing taste.
This rub has a lot of amazing flavors because of its unique blend of Cajun seasonings and spices. I love it because it is not so spicy and can be used for grilling, frying or even smoking. This rub can be added to anything from shrimp to jambalaya.
It is also 100% natural and it’s kosher! The ingredients used to make it are salt, red and black pepper, garlic. It is more than a rub, it’s an amazing cooking spice.
5. Bone Suckin' Rub
I also love this sauce because it has a hilarious name and it’s gluten-free but still tastes so good. This rub is super all purpose because not only can it be used as a BBQ rub, it can also be used for marinating and can be used for salads, pastas, venison, beans and even popcorn! Can you beat that? This is one of the most favorite sauces used in the whole of Asia as well. I have a friend who lives over there and he was always raving about this sauce and how he used it on his BBQ. His passion was cooking BBQ and spicing that up with nice sauces and gambling online at Asiancasinocentral.com.
This rub is awesome and it is certified kosher and free of any form of cholesterol.
I always love to use this rub because it brings your meals to life,
It is made with garlic, paprika, brown sugar and different spices.
1. Jack Daniel's Original No. 7 Recipe
I first bought this sauce because of the makers. I’m a huge fan of Jack Daniels and I knew that the sauce would be amazing. I wasn’t wrong in the least, it is absolutely divine. The quality of this sauce cannot be emphasized. It is thick and rich and it is guaranteed to add BBQ flavour to any meal you grill whether it is barbequed or not. I love this sauce especially because somehow, it manages to be sweet and spicy at the same time. It can also be used to marinade and it is certified as kosher.
2. Kraft Original Barbecue Sauce
Kraft is known for the quality of their products and this barbeque sauce is not an exception in the least. It is made with quality ingredients and I especially love the sauce for two things.
The first is the smoky flavour of the sauce that ends with a touch of sweetness. And the second is the amazing, thick texture. I love how it sticks to my meat all the time regardless of the kind of meat like chicken, hot dogs, pork and believe me, burger.
This is a great sauce to use.
3. Hunt's Original BBQ Sauce
Though not my first choice of sauce, it is quite good. I especially love the tangy flavour the sauce has to offer.
This sauce is slow simmered so that it can be thick and delicious. I also love how multipurpose this sauce is because it can be used for basting, as well as dipping and marinating. I discovered that the best dish this sauce goes with is chicken with the bone in and skin on. Cook the chicken and then when it’s almost done, apply the sauce over the meaty part of the chicken, while the bone region is towards the heat.
It has an amazing taste.
4. Stubb's Smokey Mesquite
This sauce was recommended to me by a few of my friends who are chefs and I didn’t know what to expect. It took me a while before I got it and I kind of regretted not getting it earlier.
First, the taste is quite amazing with a natural, smoky flavour.
I also love how the sauce is gluten-free. The sauce has a tangy and satisfying taste and it surprisingly goes very well with chipotle as much as it goes with chicken.
This is a must try.
5. Bull's-Eye Original
Like the name, this sauce hits the bull’s eye. It has a good taste and the hint of sweetness one gets at the end of every taste is worth the hype.
This sauce is made with flavour filled ingredients and the tasted of it on meat is mind blowing.
I had it first with grilled chicken and fries at a friend’s house and I had to go get mine the next day. I love to experiment with different sauces and this one with its rich, thick texture is a favourite.
